Everyone who reads this will know I love a bargain! I do sometimes splash the cash, but I still cannot ignore the sale rail! These are a few pieces I have bought recently, all 3 items coming to a total of £5!
Red Skirt: £2.25, Tesco
Blazer: £2 New Look
The 2 skirts were originally £1 and £3 respectively, but there was a 25% off promotion which made them even cheaper!
Again, I couldn't believe it when this skirt was only £1. Even when I took it to the checkout the woman had to double check this price and the label. I love the fact it is a really good bright blue, perfect to team up with other bright primary colours.
I think both of these skirts are more winter wear than summer wear, and think they will both look great with some plain black tights or some bright tights when it gets cooler.
A black blazer, in my opinion, is a wardrobe staple. Dress it up with smart trousers and a pencil skirt, or dress it down with jeans and converse, or dress it in the middle (Is there even such a saying?!) with skinny jeans and heels. This jacket is a lovely lightweight cotton and the shoulders a tiny bit puffed up, which is just perfect.
In other news, I know that Skorch Magazine has upset a lot of us fat bloggers with their vlogs on YouTube from "Marcy's Minute", based on a book "How to never look fat again". There are a few of these videos up on YouTube, from how your hair can make you fat, to fashion do's and dont's, through to losing weight. This has made me feel a bit annoyed! I look fat because I am fat, no amount of control pants are going to make me look less fat (though I have worn them in the past to get a smoother look under clothes, a pair of pants is hardly going to make me a size 10 now, is it?!) I don't like people telling me what to do. I have had it my whole life "you're fat, you shouldn't wear that" or "That makes you look fat" or "Shouldn't you wear something more flattering?" or"It's time you went on a diet". Yes, I know I am an unhealthy weight for my height, but do you know what? I like food. I LOVE food. I am happy with being fat. It has taken me a long time to feel happy. This time last year, I was going to a wedding and I had nothing to wear, I even cried at the thought of having nothing. Then I discovered fat girl blogs on here, and the fat girl community and I suddenly felt better about myself. I have always broken fashion rules, but deep down, I was always unhappy. These days I am still the fat girl, and I still break the rules, but this time I feel happy and confident. I feel like this video is just a step in the wrong direction.

That red skirt is awwweeesommme!
I'm really offended by the message Skorch has decided to take. I have nothing against weight loss or exercise, but those videos were just in absolute bad taste - bitchy, fat shaming... Not the kind of thing I want to see at all.
Yay for bargins!!
i love that blue skirt! Very pretty! :)

Clearly - I agree with you about SKORCH. I was a blogger with them and felt so embarrassed to be associated with such negative messages. I am all for exercise and eating healthily (indeed, they are part of my own lifestyle choice - so don't blink an eye if someone Weight Watches) - HOWEVER - it is the meanness and rudeness about fat people in the videos I can not abide.
And the fact that the posts seem like advertising.
Love a bargain though! x.
our tesco is rubbish, you never get bargains :(
