I am loving this weather! Last week, I went to Southampton (one of my fave cities - Probably due to the fact I went to Uni there) and met up with some friends for cocktails and lunch, and also did a spot of shopping. I'm trying to go on a bit of a clothes buying ban, but I couldn't resist this skirt when I saw it in Primark. I tried the size 18 on, as it has an elasticated waist, and it fitted perfectly. It certainly is worth trying on a size 18 if you do take a larger size, especially if they are stretchy, or have an elasticated waist. The only thing I can't work out about Maxi's is the length. I am 5ft 6", (and a bit!) and this skirt is a tiny bit too long. Now, I always thought 5ft 6" would be an average height (I normally take a regular length in jeans/trousers) but this skirt drags on the floor if I don't pull it right up. No real biggy I guess! This is the skirt and what I also wore to go for Lunch yesterday.
The sandals here are also from Primark for £4!! They had lots of different colours in store. They are really comfortable and go with lots of things in my wardrobe.
The photo of the skirt up close is just to show you the pattern on it. I really like the bright greens and blues in it.
And last but not least....Tilly chilling out in the shade of the patio! (Yes, she is smiling!)
What have you been buying recently?

You look lovely! I really love the skirt, I might have to nip into primark soon heheehe. Are Primark shoes wide? Because I have wide feet, and I don't think Primark shoes would work for me lol...
Sometimes they are wide, sometimes not. It sounds odd, but I got some black gladiators from there last year. I wanted the gold, but the gold were too narrow, so I had to get black. They are selling the IDENTICAL ones this year, and these ones are too narrow?! I bought these ones instead. I find them quite wide, but try them on before buying!
Love the skirt! I need a maxi dress/skirt pronto!

You must be the best bargain hunter around!
Lovely skirt, easy way to shorten, take the excess off the top make a new casing for the elastic, this way you dont lose the pattern on the hem. Restaurant looks great.
Loving the sandals, great outfit! xo

Love the dress, I'm maxi dress obsessed at the moment! The pattern on the bottom is lovely. I am finding that stuff from the straight size collections fit at the moment I have bought a couple of 18s from New look despite being a 22!
